Steve Ridge was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. He attended East Carolina University on a golf scholarship, earning a BS in Health and Physical Education.

Ridge has been a member of the PGA for over twenty years. He has extensive experience in teaching golf to beginner through PGA professional golfers. Ridge has served as the supervisory head professional at four different clubs in Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Ridge has been teaching at the North Carolina Golf School since 1998. In addition, he has served as a teacher/caddie on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.

Ridge has been married to his wife Janette for 28 years, raising two children. He lives in Douglasville, GA, and enjoys teaching golf's life skills to junior golfers at The Academy of College Park.
